LOS ANGELES, CA — A Los Angeles area, Latino-oriented digital media company announced what it calls a global social movement Wednesday aimed at raising millions of dollars to provide legal assistance to the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the United States illegally.
The company, mitú, introduced the “11for11Million” campaign, encouraging “every global citizen” to donate $11, with all of the money going to the National Immigration Law Center and United We Dream, both of which provide legal services and advocate on behalf of immigrants.
