The Boston Herald reported that Jessica Vaughn, spokesperson for The Center of American Progress, praised the move. She said that in 1996 Congress authorized the expedited deportations of illegals caught anywhere in the U.S. who couldn’t prove they were in the U.S. for two years.
George W. Bush limited those powers. Barack H. Obama limited them more.
