LORAIN, Ohio – Cleveland immigration attorney David Leopold was not surprised to hear about an undocumented Lorain woman who was picked up by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) and forced to wear an ankle monitoring device while her deportation case is considered.
“President Obama ordered ICE to concentrate on rounding up undocumented people that were dangerous criminals, drug dealers and gang members,” Leopold said. “He basically said not to waste time on people who were not causing trouble, people who had families and lived honest lives. It was common sense.”
