Re: “Our government put Zarate in San Francisco” [Opinion, Dec. 7]: What kind of twisted, illogical thinking makes one believe that even though city and state governments failed to do their jobs of protecting their citizens because of their sanctuary laws, it is the fault of those who object to the sanctuary laws? As ridiculous as this sounds, this is exactly the stance take by Sal Rodriguez. He then goes on to call the people who advocate commonsense and a desire to follow the law xenophobic and delusional.
Mr. Rodriguez also calls “nonsensical” an argument that would be refuted in any Logic 101 class in the country.
