EMERSON, MB. — An illegal immigrant is facing charges after lashing out in his holding cell.
It happened just before 1:00am back on April 8th at the international border in Emerson.

RCMP officers intercepted the 37-year-old Minneapolis man as he entered the country.
He was searched, identified, and screened before officers took him to Canada Border Services Agency to make a refugee claim.
While in custody, the man assaulted one CBSA officer, threatened others, and damaged a fire sprinkler in his cell.
That vandalism caused water to start spraying all over the place.
Ahmed Aden Ali has been charged with two counts of Uttering Threats, Mischief Over $5000, and Assault Peace Officer.
He remains behind bars.
