Immigration officials announced last week that 367 people had been detained in raids conducted in several states throughout the country, Fusion reported.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials reported raids were conducted in Texas, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Colorado, Wyoming and the New York City area. The agency said the raids were focused on arresting “criminal aliens, illegal reentrants and immigration fugitives.”

ICE issued press releases after the raids, highlighting the violent crimes committed by some of those arrested, according to the article published Monday. The crimes included people convicted of rape, sex trafficking, child abuse, those with DUIs, and people charged with fraud and illegal drug possession.
