According to a statement issued Thursday, June 29, Georgia Republican House Representative Jody Hice voted in favor of two bills that aim to improve U.S. federal immigration enforcement laws.
H.R. 3003, also known as the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, was first introduced by Virginia Republican House Representative Bob Goodlatte on June 23. The bill clarifies the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer authority, and withholds federal funding from taxpayer dollars to jurisdictions not in compliance with ICE.
