SPRINGFIELD — Organizations that recently announced plans for a sanctuary for undocumented immigrants at South Congregational Church have slated a community prayer service tonight at the church in support of people “impacted by a broken immigration system.”
Faith leaders from Springfield and the region are expected to participate in the prayer service slated to support for immigrants and other vulnerable communities, beginning at 7 p.m., at the church, located at 45 Maple St.

“Thursday’s service will also include prayers for those impacted by other oppressive systems such as our criminal justice system and our economic system,” stated the announcement from the Pioneer Valley Project.
