LAREDO, Texas —
While the Border Patrol was tracking a group of undocumented immigrants in South Texas last week, they discovered a woman who appeared to be suffering from heatstroke.

The Department of Homeland Security reports that the unresponsive woman had been abandoned by her guide because she could not keep up with the rest of the group.
The rough terrain made the area inaccessible to emergency vehicles, so agents picked her up and carried her several hundred yards to their own vehicle.
“The fact that these smugglers abandoned this young lady in the unforgiving terrain and left her to die with temperatures sweltering over one hundred degrees demonstrates how callous and heartless these smuggling organizations are,” said Laredo Sector Assistant
